Living Pool
Hidden, ultra-quiet Biotop filtration units purify and filter the water biologically, keeping it clean and clear without chlorine and other chemicals. During the swimming season a pool robot cleans the pool daily.
Suitable for the smallest spaces to bigger areas with options from a plunge pool to a large swimming pool.
The swimming zone and regeneration areas are separated by low submerged walls leaving you plenty of space to enjoy clear, hygienic, living water without the need for chemicals.
The water appears effortlessly natural by a carefully planned hydraulic system hard at work below the surface circulating the water through biological and mineral filters, ensuring it’s hygienic and fit for swimming all year round.
The result is a balanced pool, with water that feels like a mountain lake close to its source: soft, sparkling and with an energy that’s both rejuvenating and relaxing. And just like your garden, natural pools change with the seasons, giving you a still, reflective surface in winter which is where they get their name, sky mirrors.
The entire pool is a swim zone with no water plants.
Filtration units sit under decking or paving out of sight.
Swim all year round with an air source heat pump taking the temperature to 28C.

Includes excavation, construction of structurally engineered, reinforced concrete raft and reinforced concrete walls for 2m deep swim chamber, construction of an approximately 3m x 4m filter chamber, subterranean drainage, profiling and screeding regeneration zones, constructed pool edge, tailored lining with 1.2mm TPO liner and pool fleece, pipework, installation of skimmers, pumps and Biotop filters, hydraulics, flanges, connection to electrics and water, surface drainage and overflow, commission and handover.
Only low-level maintenance is needed during the swimming season, and it's made easy with a pool robot. In autumn, leaves need to be removed using a net.
Cost: c. £800 per pool service plus travel
Each winter our pool maintenance team will service your living pool, clean and vacuum the pool and service the pumps and filters. We test and analyse your pool's water to ensure it's balanced.
Once every 4-5 years your pool requires a full service, where the pool is thoroughly cleaned, ensuring it remains in good health, with crystal clear water.
