She will explore the wonderful planting possibilities both in and around the water and how to make a pool and garden blend seamlessly together.

And drawing on her experience of family life in and around the water of her own natural swimming pool in her garden, Sarah will talk about the benefits of a natural pool, including health and lifestyle, wildlife and ecology and the sheer beauty they bring to any garden through the seasons.

Bio:

Sarah is a landscape designer with a diploma in Garden Design from London’s KLC School of Design. She trained in biological water filtration with Austria-based Biotop, the natural pool pioneer company. Together with her husband, Will, a horticulturalist, nurseryman and Rhododendron specialist, she founded their company Ellicar, and has since enjoyed designing and creating natural swimming pools and gardens for their clients across the UK.

Company Headquarters, at Ellicar Gardens, is tucked away down a quiet lane on the edge of Gringley Carrs, on the North Notts/Lincs boundary. It is like an island surrounded by farmland, an oasis of calm, a sanctuary for visitors and a haven for wildlife.

Ellicar is now a focus for young talented construction specialists, designers, soft landscapers, and people with potential who are willing to learn and share our values.

Recently Sarah and Will’s two youngest sons, George and Chester joined the company, both working as site managers, constructing and installing natural swimming pools and leading the family business on into the next generation.

Sarah describes herself unofficially as a wild swimming fanatic, avid gardener, plant enthusiast, wildlife and animal lover and dedicated goat keeper.
